This Sunday and the week ahead at St Mary’s

Published: 6th July, 2024

This Sunday brings a change in the usual pattern of services, as we welcome rowers and their supporters, along with spectators and visitors from around the world, to our parishes. For those of you who wish to make your Sunday Communion – which I encourage you to do – Holy Communion will be celebrated according to the Book of Common Prayer at St Mary’s at 8am. The principle service of the morning will be the Regatta Service at 9.30am (which will last approximately 45 minutes), and we welcome as our preacher Debbie Bruwer, by now well-known to many of you, former Olympic rowing medallist and now manager of the Henley Churches Debt Centre. You are encouraged to arrive at church in good time for this service as there are likely to be one or two more people there than is usual. Please note that there will be no service at St Nicholas Remenham this Sunday, nor will Evening Prayer be said at St Mary’s.
